Red Litmus paper is a foolproof pH test to determine if something is a base. The Red Litmus paper will turn blue if the solution has pH of greater than 7, and will remain unchanged if not. It’s that simple. The Red Litmus paper does not come with e color chart for this reason. It cannot provide you with a defined pH value.
