This unique model shows the atlas, axis and 3rd cervical vertebrae in relation to the occipital bone.The bones are enlarged to twice life size for ease in demonstrating the movements in the upper cervical area. The model consist of 4 parts: atlas (C1)axis (C2) 3rd cervical vertebrae (C3) segment of the occipital bone All parts are mounted with elastic cord and are moveable and may be disassembled All possible movements in the atlanto-occipital and atlanto-axial joints can be demonstrated using this model .
